Cambridge doctors' invention could prevent blindness

An invention by doctors at Addenbrooke's Hospital and Cambridge University could revolutionise the way children's vision is tested.

Their design tracks children's eye movements on a TV screen. It could help prevent blindness by detecting early problems with peripheral vision caused by conditions such as brain tumours.

Kidz eyez has already won an NHS innovation award and Addenbrooke's hope it could soon be arriving at a hospital near you.
