I'm A Celeb Nadine should face recall by-election

Mid-Bedfordshire MP Nadine Dorries' appearance on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! shows why MPs should face a recall by-election if they commit serious wrongdoing, the Commons heard.

The Tory MP flew to Australia earlier this month to take part in ITV1's reality television show.

Her decision to chew on Camel Toe rather than represent her voters met with widespread condemnation at Westminster, with politicians urging the Government to speed up legislation so constituents can recall their MPs.

Liberal Democrat Lorely Burt (Solihull) said: "Life in politics can be a bit like a jungle; a popular vote may help to decide whether or not they should stay."
