Winds reaching gale force in places ahead of a cold front which will arrive tonight, bringing heavy and persistent rain, which could cause flooding in places. Perhaps becoming drier in northwestern parts later in the night. Minimum temperature 6 °C.
Rain lingering in the southeast first thing but drier, brighter weather behind. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
The Met Office has issued a warning of more wet and windy weather for the weekend.
