An historic hotel in Bury St Edmunds where Charles Dickens stayed is locked in a legal battle after losing its top hygiene rating.
The Angel Hotel has called in lawyers after the local council dropped its 4 star hygiene rating to zero following a visit by health inspectors.
The hotel's owner claims the rating is inaccurate and is seeking a judicial review. \
The council says it has seen improvements and is working with the hotel's management to ensure higher standards.
