Colchester launches new SOS bus

The Mayor of Colchester has unveiled the town's new SOS bus.

After four years of operation, the original SOS Bus has become a firm fixture in Colchester High Street every weekend night of the year.

In that time, over 4,000 people have been treated and at least £100,000 expenditure has been saved by alleviating the need for ambulance calls and treatments at Colchester Hospital A&E.

With backing from Colchester Borough Council SOS bus operator Open Road has bought and refurbished a newer vehicle, fitted out with updated equipment and medical room.
