HS2 protestors to start legal challenges
Groups objecting to the HS2 rail link between London and Birmingham are set to begin legal challenges tomorrow.
The proposed route of the £34 billion project cuts through parts of Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire.
Opponents are challenging the project on environmental grounds, while claiming unfair compensation for those affected. The government says cutting travelling time between the UK's two largest cities would have huge economic benefits.
