Census paints picture of region

The latest set of statistics from the 2001 Census are out - and our region has claimed a number one spot nationally.

Norwich is the least religious place in England and Wales with the highest number of people who say they have no religion.

By contrast Luton has the highest number of religious people in our region with 77% of people identifying with a faith.

Staying in Luton, the town has the highest number of residents from countries outside the EU. The 30th highest in the national list.

Cambridge comes out top when it comes to how healthy we feel, with 55% of people saying they were in 'very good health'.

By contrast, only 39% of people in North Norfolk said they were in good health.
