A Road Show came to Norwich today to campaign against local government cuts to services for deaf children.
The National Deaf Children's Society parked their 'Listening Bus' at the Forum. The Bus showcased the latest technology for deaf people, while campaigners also urged passers by to sign a petition.
The charity says a quarter of local councils are cutting services for deaf children and are calling on the Government to intervene.
Campaigners say there are over three thousand deaf children in the East of England and that they are not performing as well in school as other children because they need specialist support.
They say Teachers of the Deaf provide crucial help for deaf children with their learning and assess their development at school, yet these roles are being cut.
