Norovirus hits hospital

Three wards at Lister Hospital in Stevenage will remain closed for the rest of the week after an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug, Norovirus.

The hospital is asking anyone who has had diarrhoea or been vomiting to stay away to prevent the spread of infection.

The virus has infected 84 per cent people more than this time last year. There are also cases at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, The QE2 Hospital in Welwyn, Bedford Hospital and the James Paget in Great Yarmouth.
