Tour of Britain was a boost to the region
Last year's Tour of Britain cycle race brought £1.1 million into the Suffolk economy. The County Council estimated 180,000 people watched the race in Norfolk and Suffolk last September giving the tourism and hospitality industry a much needed boost.
