Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly woman found two men burgling her home in Haverhill.
The incident happened at around 9.30pm on Friday at her home in Mill Road.
The woman, 74, was disturbed by two men in her bedroom, one of the men grabbed the lady by her arm and demanded to know where she kept her money.
The second man then searched her bedroom. But the pensioner managed to pull her emergency cord to get help. The men escaped with a small amount of cash.
The first man was white around 6ft tall, and he wore dark clothing. The second man was white, shorter at around 5’8’’ tall and of stocky build; he wore a flat cap and also dark clothing.
