Three hospitals in our region are on a list of seventeen that have been reprimanded by a health watchdog for having dangerously low staffing levels.

The Care Quality Commission has told the Sunday Telegraph that Northampton General Hospital, Milton Keynes Hospital and St Peter's Hospital at Maldon in Essex do not have enough staff to keep people safe and meet their health and welfare needs.

Eight Mental Health Units including the Cavell Centre in Peterborough and the Campbell Centre in Bedford have also been criticised over staffing levels.

The CQC have warned all the hospitals named, that improvements must be made
