Arrest in 1993 security van theft case

A man has been arrested this morning in connection with the investigation into a security van theft outside Lloyds Bank, Hamilton Road, Felixstowe in 1993.

The 54-year-old man from Woodford Green, London, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit theft.

The man was arrested by Suffolk Police officers at a Police Station in East London. He is now being questioned by detectives from Suffolk Police.

In February last year, Eddie Maher, formally of South Woodham Ferrers in Essex, was arrested in America. He's accused of driving the Securicor van which was stolen from outside a Lloyds bank in Felixstowe in 1993. He denies the charges.
