National Express train operator c2c has given away 20,000 chocolates to commuters this morning, to say sorry for a train breaking down Thursday morning. Staff handed out the chocolates to passengers arriving from South Essex at stations in London.
– Julian Drury, c2c Managing Director
Last Thursday we fell below our usual high standards. That’s why we wanted to do something, as well as say sorry to everyone affected, whatever their delay was that day – short or long. c2c are the most punctual train operator in the country because we make sure disruption like that is rare, but on this occasion we have to hold our hands up and say sorry – and here’s a little something from us.”
