Second person dies after A14 crash

A 16 year old boy has died at Addenbrooke's Hospital after he was seriously injured in a collision on the A14 on the 24th January.

The collision happened on the eastbound carriageway of the A14 at Bury St Edmunds at 8.55pm. It involved a silver BMW and a red Ford Fiesta.

The BMW left the carriageway and collided with a tree. The driver of the BMW was pronounced dead at the scene. The 16 year old boy was a passenger in that car.

The driver of the second vehicle, the red Ford Fiesta was arrested on the evening of the 24th. He's a 20 year old man from Bury St Edmunds and was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. He has been bailed pending further enquiries.
