League tables for GCSE and A-level exams have revealed that our region has the best and worst performing schools in the country.
Colchester Royal Grammar School came top for its A level results, while Rushden Community College in Northamptonshire was named as the worst performing school at GCSE.
The headteacher told ITV News this is because the school mistakenly submitted pupils for an English exam that's not counted in league tables, not because students there did badly. Elsewhere teachers have raised questions about the validity of the tables.
