Wisbech woman murdered

Police in Cambridgeshire have launched a murder investigation after an elderly woman was found dead in her Wisbech home. Una Crown, 86, was discovered in her bungalow in Magazine Lane on Sunday 13 January 2013.

Murder detectives keen to trace three men

Detectives investigating the murder of Wisbech pensioner Una Crown want to trace three men seen near her home on the night of her death.

The men were reportedly seen in Magazine Lane, near Mrs Crown's home, between 11.30pm and 11.45pm on Saturday, January 12.

Mrs Crown's body was discovered at 10:45am the next day. Mrs Crown had been stabbed in the chest and neck. Her body was then set on fire in a bid to cover the crime.

Detective Chief Inspector Jon Hutchinson said: "We are very keen to identify these three men who were seen in the area of Magazine Lane as they may hold vital information which could help our investigation."

A £10,000 reward has been offered by independent charity Crimestoppers for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murder.
