Royal British Legion's welfare concern

There is concern over care for members of the Royal British Legion. Since 2006 around 30% of branches in Norfolk alone have closed. Last night the Wymondham and District branch only survived by a solitary vote.

The Royal British Legion prides itself on the welfare support it offers, with full time staff on hand to help with financial and health advice.

But the Norfolk County Chairman says local area branches are key to letting people know about the support that's available to them, and he's concerned that some members might not realise the opportunities available.
