A man has died after collapsing in the street in Northampton shortly after police arrested a woman he'd reportedly been fighting with.
Officers were called to East Park Parade just before 6pm yesterday and found a 47-year-old woman acting aggressively.
As they were arresting the woman, the 53-year-old man collapsed.
He died in hospital later in the evening and the cause of his death is being investigated.
Detective Chief Inspector Steve Lingley, said: "We were called to a report of a man and a woman fighting in the street. However, we are now investigating the possibility that the man was trying to prevent the woman from walking in the road."
