Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an 18-year-old man was left with a fractured skull after being seriously assaulted outside a Leighton Buzzard bar at the weekend.
The assault happened at around 3.30am on Saturday 16 February after the victim and his friends had visited Bar Buddha in Bridge Street. The last thing he remembers is waking-up in the street seeing his friends involved in an altercation with a man and another group of men.
He was then driven away by a friend and then taken to hospital because he was bleeding from his ear. Tests revealed he had suffered a fractured skull as well as bruising to the brain.
Bedfordshire Police are looking to speak to a man who is described as being a white male, in his 40s, around five feet five inches tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a blue checked shirt, had a number of gold rings, had some stubble and spoke with an Irish accent.
