Tesco has confirmed that 800 jobs will go in Harlow, Essex with the closure of a fresh food distribution centre.
The supermarket giant says it is also creating 750 jobs at a new centre in Dagenham.
The MP for Harlow Rob Halfon has described the news as a "huge blow" for Harlow but said Tesco had told him that workers would be offered jobs elsewhere.
