Hundreds gather for rival protests in Cambridge

Demonstrators have staged rival protests in Cambridge over the building of a new mosque in the city. The far right English Defence League gathered to oppose the plans while a counter demonstration was organised by an anti-facist group.

400 police officers from six of our region's forces were in Cambridge for the demonstrations. During the day they made four arrests.
