Detectives in Luton are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a 12 year old boy was assaulted during a robbery in the town earlier this month.
The incident happened at around 5.30pm on Saturday February 16 when the victim and his younger brother had gone to Tesco Express in Bishopscote Road.
When the pair left the shop they were approached by four males, one of who knocked the youngster to the floor and then punched him twice.
They then stole the youngster’s mobile phone and a carrier bag which contained a set of headphones, before running away towards Alder Crescent.
The offenders are described as black and Asian males, in their mid to late teens. One of the group wore a distinctive cherry brown jacket with a fur collar, while another wore a dark jacket with a ‘U’ or ‘smile’ type logo and a woolly hat.
