Third man charged in connection with pensioner death

A third man has been charged in connection with the death of a pensioner in a suspected botched burglary.

76-year-old Llywelyn Thomas was discovered at his home in Chittering, Cambridgeshire, on December 18th 2011. He was last seen alive the previous evening.

John Smith, 66, of Bridlington in East Yorkshire has been charged with assisting an offender.

25-year-old Frankie Parker of Nene Road in Ely, and 20-year-old Gary Smith of no fixed address, have been charged with murder.

They are due to appear in court on April 2.
