Tributes paid to PCSO killed in road crash

Norfolk’s Chief Constable has paid tributes to a PCSO killed in a road crash today.

Police Community Support Officer Sandra Greenacre died in a collision on the A149 at Sandringham on her way in to work at Hunstanton Police Station.

PCSO Greenacre, 51, known as ‘Sandi’, was married with four children and a well known face in the local community where she worked.

Her death this morning brings to five the number of people killed on the county’s roads in a 48 hour period following two other crashes in Hockering and Hevingham.

We were saddened and shocked to learn of the death of our colleague PCSO Greenacre in a road traffic collision earlier today.

“A number of families, friends and colleagues are today dealing with the devastating loss of a loved one from a weekend which has seen a shocking level of tragedy on Norfolk’s roads. We extend our sympathy to them all at this time.”

– Chief Constable Phil Gormley
