Ambulance services under fire once more

Ambulance services in the East have come under fire again, this time in Northampton, after one man's agonising wait for medics to arrive.

Richard Harris, who is 68, lay in the street with a broken leg for an hour and a half before help came, and when it did the crew from Scunthorpe did not know the way to the hospital.

Last week the Chair of the East of England Ambulance service was urged to consider her position because of poor response times. This time it is the East Midlands Ambulance Service that is in the spotlight.
