Milton Keynes and Essex fare badly in bus survey

Milton Keynes and Essex have both fared badly in a survey on bus services by the independent watchdog Passenger Focus. The figures related to 20 areas of England outside London and involved 22,000 bus passengers.

Milton Keynes came bottom for overall satisfaction with 73% against a national average of 84%, while passengers in Essex were the least happy with punctuality.

Passenger Focus Chief Executive Anthony Smith said: "We hope this report will be a call to action for transport authorities and bus companies to better work together to improve things for passengers."
