A Norfolk police officer is suing a petrol station owner after apparently tripping on a kerb when she was called to reports of a break-in at the filling station in Thetford last summer.

Minister says kerb fall legal case is "ludicrous"

The Cabinet Office minister and Norwich North MP Chloe Smith says many people will find it "ludicrous" that a police officer is taking legal action against a garage for tripping over a kerb while investigating a break-in.

PC Kelly Jones is pursuing a claim for damages against the owner of Nuns' Bridges Filling Station in Thetford, Norfolk.
