Police appeal for witnesses to two robberies in Harlow

Police are appealing for witnesses after two robberies in Harlow on Saturday March 23. The first took place at around 9pm at The Broadwalk. An 18-year-old man was walking along with two friends when they were approached by two men. One of the men had a knife and demanded the victim’s mobile phone.

The second incident took place at just after 9pm in the area of West Gate and Market Square, another 18-year-old man was approached by a man who tried to strike up a conversation with the victim. There were a group of men and women standing nearby, believed to have been with the suspect.

The man asked what phone the victim had and then produced a knife, however another man from the group allowed the victim to walk away.

Two men aged 17 & 18 from Harlow were arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and bailed until April 20.
