A 21-year-old man from Southend has died following a motorcycle crash in Southend.
The collision, involving a silver Suzuki motorcycle which left the road in Fossetts Way and collided with a street light, happened at around 7pm last night.
The rider of the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries and was certified dead at the scene. His pillion passenger, a 23-year-old man, also from Southend, was taken by ambulance to Southend Hospital with slight injuries.
The road was closed to enable a full investigation of the crash scene to take place. It remain shut until around midnight.
