Offences fall in town that prevents the sale of super strength alcohol

A campaign aimed at preventing the sale of super strength alcohol in Ipswich has seen street drinking offences fall in the town since its launch.

The 'Reducing the Strength' scheme started six months ago and two thirds of the town's off licences are now super strength free.

Suffolk Police say that they are now recieving almost half as many calls from the public regarding the street drinking community.
