Fresh appeal for car death victim

Joanna Smith who died after her car was vandalised

Detectives are making a new appeal for information on the first anniversary of the death of a woman from Northampton who was killed in a car crash after her tyres were vandalised.

Joanna Smith, who was 32, died on the A45 in Earls Barton a year ago. A manslaughter investigation was launched after it was discovered that one of her rear tyres had been deliberately punctured.

The incident was linked to a spate of tyre vandalism in the area. Seven people were arrested and released without charge.
