Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service have unveiled their latest team of firefighter recruits.
The 12 will be on-call firefighters who sometimes have other jobs and are paged when there is a call-out. They have just completed an intensive two-week training course in Huntingdon.
The fire service says some new recruits have other jobs and respond to 999 emergencies while they are at work thanks to the support of local employers, who recognise the importance of allowing their staff to respond to incidents.
One of the new recruits, Linford Desborough from Yaxley near Peterborough, is being featured on the Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service Facebook page.
