Police appeal after boy is stabbed

Police are appealing for information after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in the stomach in Ipswich.

It happened in the Martinet Green area of Ipswich last night. Officers were called by the ambulance service just before 11.30pm, Friday 26 April.

Police say they'll be talking to the victim, who is currently in a stable condition at Ipswich Hospital with a wound to his stomach and wrist. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A cordon has been put in place from Hunter Road onto the Green area while investigations go on.
