Man arrested on suspicion of Jay Whiston murder

A man has today been arrested on suspicion of the murder of a Clacton teenager in Colchester.

Jay Whiston was stabbed at a house party on Marlowe Way shortly after 10pm on Saturday, September 8, 2012. The 17-year-old boy from Aster Close died a short time later in hospital.

A provisional post-mortem examination result showed that he died from a stab wound.On Wednesday, May 1, an 18-year-old man was rearrested on suspicion of Jay Whiston’s murder and is currently being questioned by detectives at a police station in north Essex.

Six other people remain on police bail until Wednesday, May 22 after having been arrested in connection with this murder investigation.
