Ding family murders: Anxiang Du to appear in court

A Chinese businessman accused of killing a family of four in Northampton is due to appear in court today.

Anxiang Du is accused of murdering university lecturer Jifeng "Jeff" Ding, his wife Ge "Helen" Chui and their two daughters, Alice, 12, and Xing, 18 in May 2011.

The 54-year-old will appear at Nottingham Crown Court today for a plea and case management hearing.

The Ding family were found stabbed to death at their home in Wootton, Northamptonshire, on April 29 2011 - the day of the royal wedding.
