Man arrested in connection with Luton shooting

Bedfordshire Police have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder after a teenager was shot in Luton.

The 16-year-old was shot in the back in the early hours of May 11th in Thricknells Close, Marsh Farm. He remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital. His injuries are described as ‘life changing’.

A 19-year-old man is being questioned by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit. He was stopped yesterday afternoon by armed response officers patrolling Marsh Farm. Police are currently putting on armed patrols in the area in response to a number of recent shootings.
