It's an issue which divides opinion - the presence of pigeons in our town centres and whether we should encourage them or not. One town in Northamptonshire now wants people to stop feeding the birds.
Daventry District Council wants people to stop throwing food to pigeons because the birds make a mess and their droppings can carry diseases. The council says it's looking at fining people or possible prosecutions.
Cllr Alan Hills said: "The droppings are not just unsightly but they represent quite a health risk if the wind catches them or they become dust."
There are different opinions from shoppers though with some saying they don't mind the pigeons.
