Family calls for tougher action after elderly woman left on bus

The daughter of an elderly woman from Luton who was left overnight on a minibus says she's angry that the driver was found not guilty of neglect.

88-year-old Joan Cook suffers from dementia and spent 14 hours in the bus at a depot after Luton Borough Council driver Susan McLaughlin forgot to take her back to her care home.

Now Mrs Cook's daughter wants a change in the law to make it easier to convict people of neglect.
