Emotional appeal from mother who lost baby after drug mistake

There's been an emotional appeal from a mother who lost her baby after taking a prescribed acne drug which was unsuitable for pregnant women.

Sarah Sharma, from Cambridgeshire, was given the devastating news at her 20-week scan. Her unborn baby was suffering abnormalities caused by the drug and wouldn't survive.

She'd been given the acne medication by doctors at Peterborough City Hospital, who had failed to carry out all the checks to see if she was pregnant.

Now Sarah is calling for new measures to be put in place, to ensure other expectant mothers don't suffer the same fate.
