A report into problems at the East of England Ambulance Trust has made 25 recommendations to improve the service.

The trust has been told to review overheads, improve communication and put in place a robust recruitment plan.

The report by Dr Anthony Marsh, the Chief Executive of West Midlands Ambulance Service, says the East of England Trust Board and Senior Management Team "appear to have developed a sense of helplessness."

The Ambulance Trust has been heavily criticised in recent months for poor response time in rural areas.
