A report by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary looking at how Essex Police deals with domestic violence has found improvements have been made but more needs to be done.
It follows criticism of the force for its handing of domestic abuse cases, after four domestic abuse murders in the county.
Essex Police says it welcomes the findings and agrees there is still a lot of work to do.
