Second peregrine falcon at Norwich cathedral has died

A second peregrine falcon at Norwich cathedral has died. It was one of four fledglings that hatched last month in a nest on the cathedral spire.

A post mortem showed it probably hit a cricket practice net on nearby playing fields - while learning to hunt - and suffered a massive brain trauma.

The two remaining chicks will hopefully stay until the Autumn when they will head to the North Norfolk coast as fully grown adults.
