The Canal & River Trust is encouraging people to adopt a stretch of their local waterway to preserve it for the future.
The Trust wants community groups to get involved in projects which could include recording and improving wildlife habitats, making improvements to access and facilities or promoting the waterway to other local people or running events and guided walks.
