Jay murder: Arrests over intimidating witnesses

Two people have been charged with witness intimidation in connection with investigation of the murder of Clacton teenager Jay Whiston.

Jay, 17, was stabbed a house party on Marlowe Way, Colchester, last September. Jay, from Aster Close, died a short time later in hospital.

In May 2013, four people were arrested on suspicion of witness intimidation.

Alan Loughlin, 18, of Titania Close, Colchester has been charged with three counts of intimidating a witness. Kieran Marsh, 18, of Creffield Road, Colchester has been charged with two counts of intimidating a witness.

They've been released on bail and will appear in court on July 30.

Two people from Clacton, a 16-year-old girl, and an 18-year-old woman, have been re-bailed pending further enquiries until August 6, 2013 and August 8, 2013 respectively.
