Essex snooker player, Ali Carter, will return to tournament snooker at the Shanghai Masters after being given the all-clear from testicular cancer.
The 33-year-old, from Colchester, underwent an operation shortly after making his cancer diagnosis public on July 1.
But the two-time world finalist wrote on his Twitter account: "Just had the best news ever! I've got the all clear!
"Will be back in action in the shanghai masters. Thankyou everyone for all your support!"
His decision to return for September's world ranking event in Shanghai gives Carter another two months to recuperate from his illness.
