Rail company to take legal action against union

An East Midlands train at Bedford

East Midlands Trains, which runs services to Luton, Bedford, Corby, Peterborough and Norwich, is to take legal action against a trade union this week.

The company claims the transport union RMT 'invented' a dispute which led to its members banning overtime a week ago. The RMT says it will defend its position. It claimed there had been a breakdown in industrial relations over a number of issues.
