Man robbed and assaulted in Suffolk

Detectives in Suffolk are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted and robbed in Bury St Edmunds.

At about 11pm on Monday the 29th of July the victim went to an address in Thompson Walk, after responding to an online advert for a watch that was being sold.

As he arrived he was approached by six men, who appeared from an alleyway. Two of them pulled out what looked like handguns, then assaulted him breaking a tooth and possibly his jaw. The men then took his Rolex watch and a large quantity of cash.

The victim went back to his home in Hertfordshire, and contacted the police on Thursday night. They are making arrangements to visit him to take a full statement.
