A man attacked in the car park of a Biggleswade supermarket car park has died, police have confirmed.
The victim, 64, from Sandy was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital with a serious head injury. His family were by his side.
Detectives have rearrested the 65-year-old man who was already in custody for manslaughter, and continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
DCI Tim Redfearn from the Beds, Cambs and Herts Major Crime Unit said:
“We are now treating this man’s death as manslaughter and I would appeal to anyone who may have seen the altercation take place between these two men at around 3pm yesterday in the Asda car park to contact us."
