Pair deny endangering plane forced to land at Stansted

Two men have denied endangering an aircraft which had to be diverted to Stansted following an alert.

Tayyab Subhani, 30, and Mohammed Safdar, 41, both of Nelson in Lancashire, appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court today.

They were on a Pakistan International Airways flight originally bound for Manchester Airport when the alleged incident took place in May.

The aircraft was forced to land at the Essex airport.

The pair are expected to face trial in November.
